RF-isolatorer är passiva 2-ports mikrovågsenheter som hjälper till att skydda radiofrekvenskomponenter överdriven ström eller signalreflektion.Det är en enkelriktad fälla som isolerar en källa och last så att all reflekterad energi vid lasten fångas eller försvinner.Isolatorer är gjorda av ferritmaterial och magneter som bestämmer i vilken riktning den inkommande signalen ska flöda
